How do I trace a picture?

The Pattern Wizard can't automatically trace your picture but you can place the picture in the background to help you trace it manually. That can be done using "Load From ..." in the Pattern Wizard's "Background" menu.

If you haven't used these kinds of drawing tools before, I suggest you practice with them by using the tutorial in the "Help" menu. With a little practice it is very easy to design your patterns.

When you re-open a pattern that had a background picture, it's left hidden. You can reveal it by choosing "Visibility > Show" from the "Background" menu.
